The Absolute WORST Diet Out There

Let’s face it. There are A LOT of “diets” out there. Keto, paleo, vegan, intermittent fasting, etc etc. But is there a worst diet? One that I would never tell any of my clients to do? The answer is yes. What diet is that, you ask? The one you hate doing. Yes, you read that right. The diet that you inherently hate is the worst diet for you. Therefore, it can vary person to person. If you looooooove meat, a vegan diet is going to be the worst for you. If you can’t get enough carbs, then keto will be the worst diet for you. I know, I know, that wasn’t the answer you were looking for. But it’s the truth. If you love to eat burgers, and I tell you that you must go on a vegan diet, do you think you’re going to stick to it for the long-term? Of course not! That diet will crash and fail, and you’ll be back at Five Guys next week.

That’s why I really don’t like the word diet. Everyone is on a “diet” because everyone eats food. It has to be a lifestyle. Something you can see yourself sticking with for the rest of your life. Find a way of eating that requires the least amount of discipline to continue forever. Motivation comes and goes. You don’t want to have to rely on motivation to stay with your diet. That never works. No one is motivated all the time. That’s why it is so important to decide what works best for your schedule and lifestyle so it’s not a chore to keep eating that way. That’s the only way you’re going to be able to achieve your desired weight and, more importantly, maintain it.
